  • Treated Like Family When It Mattered Most

When I reached out to the Nate D foundation, I was supported with the utmost care and love!

This foundation gave me a sense of hope, genuine care, and the guidance I desperately needed. The foundation helped me feel comfortable and cared for through the entire process from the moment I called, to the moment I arrived, and until the moment I left the treatment center.

They treated me like I was their own family, and went the extra mile to make sure I felt safe and comfortable during the transition. The process to get me to treatment was fast and efficient and made it easy for me to commit to my recovery with ease.

This foundation saved my life, my family and I will forever be grateful for the foundation, and the opportunity that has changed my life forever. - JH

  • From The Verge of Death to a New Life - Keegan's Story

Being blessed with the opportunity for trauma therapy treatment through the Nate D Foundation has provided me with a new life to say the least, through my funded treatment in Thailand and being able to work alongside the most caring and wonderful counsellors and therapists, who helped me understand addiction and the underlying affects, which caused me such deep emotional pain leading me down a darker and darker path as my disease progressed.

During my time in Thailand I found strength, community and a deeper personal connection to God which I had growing up. I returned to Canada with the tools I needed to embrace a new life and continue building on what I learned while supporting others along my sobriety journey.

I went from being on the verge of death and no one left to call, no doors left to open, to leaving for treatment in Thailand supported by the Nate D Foundation, I  am proud to say I am over 1 year into my recovery. I have moved into my new home with my partner, working a job I love and expecting my first child in April.

I cannot thank the Nate D Foundation and Tiffany, enough for the new life I have given. I plan to continue this journey to make them and my family proud. - Keegan

  • A Second Chance at Life

I am incredibly grateful for the work being done through the Nate D Foundation and the opportunities I have been given through their generosity and belief in second chances.

I was someone who had given up on life. I truly believed there was nothing left for me. I felt like no one cared and the world was done with me. I was at my rock bottom and didn't care if I lived or died.

Everything began to change when I was found in a hospital bed by an incredible person who connected me with a sober house that took me in. For the first time, I was introduced to the idea that life didn’t have to be about drugs and alcohol to cope. I learned that there are people doing truly selfless work, lifting others up and creating real opportunities for those who genuinely want to change their lives.

The Nate D Foundation is an integral part of that process. Through the Foundation, I was given access to trauma therapy and counselling that I never would have otherwise in a place I never imagined I would go.

Thank you to the Nate D Foundation for being a vital part of where I am today ( still in Thailand ) and for helping me build the life I have now. - Ryan

  • Steve

A huge thank you to the Nate D Foundation for supporting me with additional trauma counseling during my local recovery journey. This support wasn’t available at the treatment center I was at. It helped me open up and learn what my triggers are and how to deal with them. I am proud to say I am 3 years into my recovery. You all really do care and I am thankful you took a chance on helping me.
