The Nate D Foundation is excited to announce the launch of a scholarship for high school students who have overcome mental health challenges or addiction, or are pursuing a career in the counselling field.

This scholarship aims to provide financial support for students as they continue their education in post-secondary studies, helping them achieve their academic and professional goals.

We are committed to empowering those who have shown incredible strength in their personal journeys, and to fostering the next generation of leaders in mental health and addiction recovery.

Application:

• Applicant must be a Canadian Citizen & BC Resident

• Applicant must be eligible for graduation in 2025

• Preference is given to Aldergrove Community Secondary School applicant

• Payment will be made with proof of enrollment to commence studies in an undergraduate program as a full-time or part-time student (minimum of 2 courses).  Enrollment must be made within 18 months of graduation or will be forfeit.

• Preferred applicant must have personally overcome challenges related to mental health or substance misuse, or have had a close family member that has experiences these issues or must want to study in the field of mental health or substance misuse f

• A written personal statement of 300 words or less is required with bursary submission to outline future post-secondary goals, and why you require the bursary.

• A written reference or letter of recommendation must accompany application
